Outcome: On 19 May 2005, the Attorney General informed the Supreme Court that MITL decided to cancel its previous instruction to close the unemployment office in the Arab village of Kufr Kana, in the north of Israel. The decision follows the filing of a petition by Sawt el-Amel and Adalah, which demanded that the Supreme Court prevent the closing-down of the unemployment office. The Court accepted the MITLs decision on 25 May 2005. As a result, the unemployment office can now continue to provide its services to approximately 71,000 Palestinian citizens of Israel in the area, including over 4,000 job seekers.
